Recently, a fellow owner of a Boyne affiliated property emailed me. This owner's concern was that this blog was leaning to the negative side.
As a result, the owner felt it might slow the acceptance and use of the blog.
I value the owner's comments and views of the blog and the insight in helping to promote the blog to other owners.
This blog is open for the entire world. People are free to comment, as they like, they can comment on any of the post in any manner they see fit.
I do not moderate the post for anything other than gross obscenities and materials that would be deemed or inappropriate to children.
This Blog is not a PR site for Boyne.
Not everyone will agree with the things I post.
If people read this blog and feel the site is negative, one consideration may be, that it is not the post so much as the actions (or in some cases the lack of) described within those posts.
Sometimes the truth is not always positive.
Currently I am developing some post that highlight some of the progress owners have made and continue to make as we open the lines of communication with one another.
If you have something you would like posted email me.

I agree that some comment are a bit on the negative side but, don’t get me wrong I bought in Boyne because it is a great place to visit year round and we do. The kids love Boyne Deer Lake, The Beach House, Golf (How many cores) Avalanche Bay!!! Skiing!!!!!,story time with fritz in the library or just going to Everett’s for desert. We love Boyne but sometimes I feel that we should be given a straight answer. How long would you put up with a friend that you dedicate all of your vacation time to and you never get an answer that could possible be correct. So how long would you put up with someone trying to make a fool of you?
Anon,
Thanks for the great comment and I will agree that the time spent up there can be the best of times and memories. The activities are great for the family.
The difficulties arise as an owner dealing with property and association and management. Most people purchase property with Boyne thinking it will be a hassle free vacation home or investment. Unfortunately this does not turn out to be the case for all owners.
As I develop better online communities for owners I have come to realize many have the same issues and concerns that I do. Like the point you raise about getting a straight answer.
Many owners felt frustrated and isolated. I am hoping to change that.
Oositive or negative it is time to demand accountability and integrity from those that mange our investments at Boyne. If everything were 100% great then there would not be a need for this site nor an expressed interest by the many owners who have contacted me and thanked me for starting this community.
You can only be made a fool if you choose to follow blindly. So, Question everything find the best answers you can and if your wrong call it experience and try not to let it happen again.
A wise man once said good judgment comes from experience. Experience comes from making poor decisions.
May we all have better judgment after this decision.
